Class Descriptions

Baby Boppers

This class is a crowd favorite! What’s cuter than your tiny toddler busting out their favorite hip hop moves. This class is designed to keep them moving and grooving, all while learning some musicality and rhythm. The class has continuous upbeat music, with very little down time. They begin with a class warm up and they keep on moving the entire 45 minutes. They will definitely get their cardio in! All Baby Boppers classes will perform in both the December and June Recitals. --Tennis shoes or bare feet required

Toes & Bows:

This quick moving class is 45 minutes of fun and movement for your restless toddler. A quick warm up to get those sillies out, followed by basic ballet positions presented quickly and efficiently. Light stretching while getting to know their friends keeps the class engaged and productive. They will learn to wait their turn in line as they show off their sassiest jazz moves across the floor. The last 10-15 minutes is set aside for rhythm and tap shoes, a great way to end class with a quick change of pace to keep them excited and learning! All Toes and Bows classes will perform in both the December and June Recitals. --Ballet and Tap shoes required.


Ballet class consists of several segments, usually: barre, center, adagio, allegro and reverence. Ballet is the foundation of all dance and the style is treated with respect among dancers. Discipline is a major part of ballet and students are taught to use the proper etiquette while in class. Dress code is strictly enforced. Beg/ Int Ballet classes will perform at the December and June recital. --Ballet shoes required


One of the most popular and well known forms of dance. Jazz dance includes strength, flexibility and conditioning technique and progressions including turns, kicks and leaps. In a Jazz class the dancers also learn many fun and trendy dance steps that are used for all forms of dance. It is a wonderful class to get a well rounded variety of all dance steps. Dancers will learn choreography to popular and age appropriate music of today along with vintage styles of jazz from the last decades. This is a perfect class to start your dance training.  Beg Jazz and Jazz 2 will perform in both December and June recital. --Jazz shoes or Half Soles required

Kix and Trix:

This class is our Jazz classes crazy younger sister. Your dancer will perfect tricks that happen during that “wow moment” in their routine. The class will begin with a thorough stretch, and warm up to prevent injury. This class is not designed for someone who is easily discouraged, as there is a lot of trial and error. The excitement of nailing a new trick is what keeps the dancers motivated and driven. All of our Kix and Trix classes are invite only, and do not perform at the recitals. --Jazz shoes or Half Soles required


Tumbling class teaches the fundamentals of floor gymnastic moves. This is a very popular class that is fun for all ages and all abilities.  Students will learn many variations of tumbling moves and dance tricks. From the well-trained dancers to students who want to learn basic tumbling training, it is becoming a popular art and athletic activity. Tumbling does not perform in the recitals. -- Bare feet

Lyrical/ Contemporary:

The biggest craze to hit the Jazz dance world since break dancing.  It combines Modern and Jazz technique with a free form of movement and theme, and dance steps choreographed to the lyrics of a song.  It is filled with very technical dance moves that are very visual and fun to perform and watch. The television show, So You Think You Can Dance has brought this form of dance to everyone’s home and made it extremely popular.  It is an ever-changing style of dance that continues to evolve and keeps us wanting more. This will be a great class if your favorite singer is Adele or Celine Dion. Beg Lyrical classes perform in both December and June recital. -- Jazz shoes of Half Soles required

Hip Hop:

One of the most popular and familiar forms of stylized American Dance.  Television and movies utilize the free, rhythmic and fun tones of jazz dance. In these classes we teach stylized technique along with popular hip-hop moves. It also gives the dancer knowledge in coordination, physical strength and promotes self-confidence. Beg/ Int Hip Hop classes perform in both December and June recital. --Tennis shoes required

Pop Star Hip Hop:

Designed for your teeny bopper who is obsessed with all the new songs on the radio, and can’t help dancing along to the beat. Think Megan Trainor back up dancer, meets Disney Parade dancer. All things fun, light hearted, and up beat! All Pop Star Hip Hop classes perform in both December and June recital. --Tennis shoes required
