Danielle Laven has been dancing since she was little, and started teaching dance at the age of 15. In her many years of studying dance, she worked with some of the most respected and well-educated instructors and choreographers, including Bruce Campbell, Dennis Caspary, Shawnel Herbst, Sonya Hardy, Chris Jacobson, and Sean Herrington, earning awards and titles like Miss Broadway Magic, Miss teen KAR and numerous overall group, duet, and solo awards. In 2002 she was cast as a Dancer and Performer for Royal Cruise Line before continuing onto Disneyland where she performed as a Disney Princess until 2006. Since then, Danielle has dedicated her time to sharing her passion for dance as a teacher, opening The Urge Dance Complex in Orange County and hosting classes daily with dancers of all ages.
Miss Noelle started dancing at the age of seven, and continued on as a competitive dancer where she toured and competed throughout the US, winning several national titles. She started exploring choreography at Triple Threat Performing Arts under the direction of Bill Langley until 2010 when she moved to Southern California and joined The Urge Dance Complex as a co-owner and main instructor. While Noelle leads classes of all levels at the studio, her competitive dance students have taken home numerous high score and top awards at regional and national competitions.
Alia picked up dance at the age of 8 where she began training under Carol Harder for ballet, jazz and pointe. Alia finished UC Irvine with a BFA in Dance, including a specialization in teaching, and a second degree in Social Science minoring in Psychology. She went into the Tremaine scholarship program, and eventually opened her own dance studio in Whitter, CA. Alia has a long list of accomplishments including: performance credits in Fame LA and the LA Comedy Awards, dancing on the Queen Mary, Tremaine Best of Show for choreography, creating several original ballets, and student credits with the Northwest Dance Project, Wickedon Broadway, Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” video and the prestigious Princess Grace Award. Alia joined The Urge Dance Complex to continue her passion of teaching after completing her doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy where she currently has her own private practice.
Amanda Gardner grew up in Orange County, California where she trained and competed in many different styles of dance, winning numerous National titles and awards. Her first introduction to the professional world of dance was at the age of 13 when she was rewarded a scholarship to Broadway Dance Center in NYC. Soon after, Amanda traveled the United States, Canada, and most recently Europe to train as well as compete under the most prestigious choreographers in the dance community. In 2010, Amanda auditioned and received her first professional role in the horror movie Sinister that hit theaters in October of 2012. Since then, Amanda has pursued her professional dance and choreography career in Los Angeles. She’s worked on numerous sitcoms, commercials, musicals, and films as a dancer, choreographer, and actor. Amanda has worked closely with Universal Studios, Disney, USC's Dance Company and Millennium Dance Complex. On top of choreographing for some of the highest scoring dance studios in Los Angeles and Orange County, she herself holds the Silver Medal from the 2016 Dance Worlds after competing against 50 other countries. Amanda couldn’t be happier to be a part of the URGE family!
Isaac was born and raised in Riverside, California. He was 15 years old when he began training at Riverside Ballet Arts under the direction of Glenda Carhart who worked with legends like Rudolph Nureyev and Mikhail Baryshnikov. He primarily trained in classical ballet, contemporary, and jazz for three years before his hip injury. Due to his injury, he branched to different styles such as Hip Hop and Jazz Funk. In, 2013 he began teaching at Studio 9 Dance Company. Soon after, he choreographed and trained a team of 45 students who competed at Countdown, World of Dance, and Urban Street Jam competitions. As Isaac started to expand himself in the Inland Empire, he taught at multiple studios such as: Adage Dance Center, Dellos Dance Connection, Artistic Dance Academy, and Prestige Dance Company. After all the opportunities he has gotten as an instructor. He realized that his injury was merely a blessing in disguise. Isaac then decided to take this art that he passionately loved into a career. In 2016, he started to seriously train in LA. That same year Isaac was signed to MSA LA as a professional dancer and did jobs like Ricky Martin Las Vegas Residency show, America’s Got Talent, AT&T commercial, NBC World of Dance and much more. Isaac continues to share, practice, and pursue his dreams being a professional dancer and choreographer.
David Del Rosario
David Del Rosario is an accomplished underground choreographer and dancer from Acapulco Guerrero with over 9 years of experience. David first began his journey by establishing a dance group that inspired dancers. Only a year after he started dancing he toured as a back-up dancer and slowly transitioned to competitive teams such as (Souled Out and Team millennia). While in competitive dancing he found his love to teach styles like (contemporary, jazz funk, krumping, Breakdancing, House, Popping and Locking). Not only has he successfully built hip hop programs for different studios, colleges and performing arts all over the country but is also a motivational speaker.
Some of his performance/choreography credits include So You Think You Can Dance (Fox), 106nPark (BET), World Of Dance, Carnival (NBC), Disneyland (NBC), (music videos and commercials). Wether its inspiring students or teaching innovative choreography, he continues to drive positive change everywhere he goes.
Nicolette started dancing at the age of 7, when she began her training in Jazz, Ballet, and Lyrical, under Jane Eubanks at the Dance Express in Southern California. She continued her training at studios throughout the Los Angeles area and gained valuable experience under the guidance of Doug Caldwell. After graduating from high school, Nicolette traveled east to Boston and New York. Once there, she trained at the Alvin Ailey School, and Complexions with Dwight Rhoden & Desmond Richardson, and graduated with a BFA from The Boston Conservatory. Nicolette then moved to Las Vegas to fulfill her dream of being a professional dancer. Her first gig was at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, performing in “EFX” with such greats as Tommy Tune, David Cassidy and Rick Springfield. Nicolette also toured throughout the U.S. with various dance shows including “Legends in Concert”, “Superstars in Concert”, and “Moonwalker” (A tribute to Michael Jackson).
As much as Nicolette loves being in large production shows, she has always had a passion for dancing with smaller companies such as “The Vibe”- A Modern dance company based out of Las Vegas. Nicolette loves working with kids, helping them to discover and develop their own passion for dance, and she is very excited to be teaching at The Urge!
Izzy has been training at The Urge Dance Complex for five years, where she is also part of the dance team, and has won numerous group and solo awards. She has picked up many styles of dance during her time with us, including: jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop and ballet. She also studies dance at Crean Lutheran High School and aspires to be a full-time dance teacher one day. As a junior staff member at The Urge Dance Complex, she is most excited about the opportunity to share her passion for dance with the next generation of students.
Skye has been part of The Urge Dance Team for the past five years. Skye especially enjoys jazz, contemporary, and musical theater. She is a member of the San Juan Hills High School Dance Team and Modern Dance Conservatory. In college, Skye plans to major in dance with an emphasis in performance and choreography. Her dream is to one day perform aerial acts with Cirque du Soleil. Skye enjoys working with young dancers and looks forward to teaching at The Urge.
Reilly is a 17 year old honor student at San Juan Hills High School. She began her training in dance at the age of 5 and has trained in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, and Jazz. She was accepted to the highly competitive Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive program in 2017 and was invited back on scholarship in 2018. Reilly had performed lead roles in The Nutcracker, Sylvia, and Sleeping Beauty and has competed in Youth American Grand Prix. She hopes to share her passion and love for dance to the younger dancers. Reilly is looking to pursue dance in college and continue her love for teaching.
Brittney grew up in Irvine, California and began dancing at the age of four. She began competing at the age of eight, winning regional and national awards in the styles of jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, and acro, training for many years under Danielle Laven and Noelle Messa. She was on Northwood High’s competitive Song team for four years and was captain for two. Currently she is studying to earn her Bachelors of Science Degree in Alternative Medicine, graduating Spring 2019. She loves spending her time with children and sharing her passion for dance and competition with the next generation.
